   We had an erosion problem around an Island so we managed to get a big roll of conveyor belt some 1/2 x 40 inches. We cut it in manageable lengths and drove lengths of pipe to support it and then wire the top of the rubber to it.  Then covered the lower skirt with rip-rap-. Worked great! The lower skirt soon burried up into the bottom. That belt is almost imortal.
