Folks I will not be posting again for a very long time, this forum is not what it use to be and I’m not wasting my time here anymore. But wanted to leave you with this, in a few days the fireworks show will be upon us, remember last year there was the hit and run on the lake, that could have ended very tragically, those folks were very lucky to have lived after being hit from behind and flipped and left in the water by the folks that hit them. If you must get out on the lake for the fireworks show please, please be very careful, we do not want a repeat of last year. I will not be going out this year, I'll have 4 kids with us this year and just don't want to risk having an ill responsible or drunk boat operator run me over and leave us in the water to save their boat engine or what-ever. The best advice was posted in an earlier thread, if you must go out find a spot to hold up until the madness is over, remember to pick your spot wisely, once all the boats start moving away there will be very large waves, I would not even think of beaching a boat where there will be a lot of traffic, you may end up with your boat up in the woods. One other thing if you have guests here and they want to jump off the rock, tie them to a cleat on your boat until you get ready to leave, don’t want a repeat of that either.
Have a safe and happy 4th, and enjoy what is left of this forum!
