I'm trying to decide on what brand of GPS/Chart Plotter to purchase. Needing some advise. If I'm understanding correctly, neither Garmin nor Humminbird cover Lake Martin with LakeVu and Lake Master maps. I know Garmin had their boat on the lake recently, but is that going to be for the LakeVu?

I'm REALLY leaning toward Humminbird, because of their HELIX line of products. Side Imaging for less than $500 bucks is great! But I'm really wanting what the mapping has to offer, and if neither product offers it, I can't see that I need to spend the money right now. Am I wrong?

I DO NOT fish at all, I'm just wanting to see what's going on down there. And wanting contour lines and love the idea of side imaging.

Looking for some ideas, info, suggestions, etc.
