Alabama Power typically lowers the water 3 to 4 ft. Depending on the depth of water at your dock, will depend how much access you will have. Alabama Power requires a permit for dock construction or seawall repairs so check with them first. This year, they imposed a fee for permits as well. Seems like it's $250 or so. You can contact them at 334-569-1070 for more info.

BTW, welcome to Lake Jordan. My family has owned a place on Jordan since 1940 and I've been going there since I was a kid. I just moved up there full time myself. I'm on the south end of the lake in Swayback.
