I have a permit for a 24 foot dock extension. The approved design has to be parallel to the grade resulting in the extension being under water for much of the year (not too good for the wood). I have seen concrete ramps on the lake that allow the dock to be move to different positions and set into place using jacks affixed to ramp. The ramp also has stairs built into it so that it is easier to walk up and down when the ramp has been moved due to lower water. Can someone please advise as to how well these work and also who I can contact about having one installed.
