I have a lot that is a good 50 to 60 feet off the water near Arley. It's a great lot except for the height. I'm interested in starting to develop it. At least to the extent of putting a boathouse and swim pier on it. However, I have a fairly limited budget to work with and need to know what to expect in terms of cost.

The dock builders I've spoken with say they don't construct stairs/walkways down to the gangplank that will lead to the dock. I won't know if I can afford the boathouse until I know what it will cost to build the stairs. Can anyone give me an idea who to contact about this? Any words of wisdom about design ideas, materials, etc.?
