I had forgotten that they went Chapter 11. An investor group bought the company from the estate for $13M and they are moving their manufacturing operations to LaGrange, GA. So now I understand how this happened. Since the lawsuits were filed prior to the bankruptcy in essence the bankruptcy Trustee is the one that settled. Basically screwed the investors and creditors in favor of litigants. The new Remington would carry none of the liability for the Sandy Hook lawsuits. So the title of the article was misleading. Thanks for the reminder.
