Not true. The flood easement that Alabama Power is granted on every lot allows flooding without liability. That's why its called an "easement." The location of the easement should be marked in your deed's legal description or reflected on your survey map. We have seen the water at 471 or 472 and it is still within the easement on our property. Structures built within the easement are there at the owner's peril and expense.
