I just read an article on that hallowed demorat website POLITICO that explained pretty well the dilemma the liberals face. If they push too hard for gun controls, I.e., assault weapons, then the NRA ends their career at the next election. If they push for real pre-purchase background investigations, then their demorat constituents (thugs, thieves, criminals, and the mentally defective) will have no way to buy weapons and cause all the violence blamed on that inert object called a gun. Either way, demorat politicians lose. What will they do, what WILL they do. My bet is nothing.
