You are showing your narrow minded church school thought process. The details don't matter to you nor do the facts.
They are paid a salary, but like all good employees, they worked more than 40 hours per week. I haven't read that their salary is going to be reduced...just the hours. Still confused?
Do you send your salaried employees home when they reach 40 hours? Do you tell your salaried employees not to entertain clients if they have worked an 8 hour day? Do you give your employees time off if they travel to a client over the weekend so they can begin work with the client on Monday? The answer to all is NO. So, you are just reducing what they earn per hour. That's life in the real word.
"Sanders said field organizers, who are the lowest-ranking members of a presidential campaign and are typically in their 20s, make $36,000 a year with 100% employer-paid health care, as well as paid vacation and sick leave.
For a staffer working 40 hours a week, that comes out to about $17 an hour. But 40-hour workweeks on presidential campaigns are rare. Sanders said the campaign will limit the number of hours staffers work to 42 or 43 each week to ensure they're making the equivalent of $15 an hour."
