In reading through the recaps, it's clear that there is much more at stake than just one young man's life.  It's a whole political thing too.  I feel like in some ways, he's carrying  the whole of people's rights to defend themselves.  And that seems like a lot to put on the shoulders of one young man.  

I am hoping that he just gets found guilty of the gun charge and that he gets probation, so he can go back to his life and go to school or whatever it is he wants to do.  But what I am afraid is that the pro-gun lobby will put him on the speech circuit.  I hope he doesn't get used in the process.  And I firmly belief in an individuals right to defend themselves.
