It was indeed a bad deal that was proposed by the lame-duck Bush administration and signed, sealed and delivered by a House and Senate controlled by Democrats. It was voted on and the Messiah voted yea like many others of both parties. You see GF, this is not a "Bush" deal and it was darn sure not a "Conservative" deal as you incorrectly titled your post. That is why the best we can hope for from our federal government is gridlock so they do no harm. Second best is the shutdown of all branches of the federal government except critical ones so they do no harm. Congress on recess is good although never long enough.

Nice try GF, but you can't get away with pinning this one on Bush. And I, like most true conservatives vehemently opposed the bailout of the auto companies. Go check out the vote total and you will see that 67% of Republicans voted AGAINST the bill. Now I know facts are stubborn things but I know you realize that only Congress has control of the purse strings and the Obama/Reid/Pelosi troika's fingerprints, DNA and other material are all over this.......
