I am writing this in the hopes that the Corp. will step back and realize the economic damage that they are causing in our area.  And not only that, there has been alot of talk about how that they don't know what they are doing in regards to flood control. They are not thinking about the amount of stress that they are causing on the structural stability of the dam every time that they let the water stay behind the dam at the high levels.  Think about this, a gallon of water is eight(8) pounds per and just how many pounds of pressure is being held by the dam.  What I can't understand is when they know from previous years of rainfall of how much the water level rises why that they can't manage the level better.  I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. When you let water out of a dam that is above a lower dam in the chain, start letting out on the lower dam in order to compensate for the rise that the upper dam will create. If the Corp. would step back and think, every time that they don't maintain a more constant level of water in the lake they have to go and repair the boat ramps and camping sites that they just recently either built or repaired.  These funds that they are spending could be better served in the better upkeep of the recreational parks on the lake on the missouri side of the state line of the lake. 

I will get off my soap box now.  Sorry for the venting. I couldn't hold it in any longer.
