Probably a fair guess. It's a lot of land that has been cleared, but there are a lot of woods left too. I have a feeling that land across from the main property must have some lake access. Husband says not, but it seems odd to me that they would be putting in gates and such if there wasn't. It wouldn't have to be more than a slip, if someone wanted to use it for kyaking and canoes.
I think the biggest concern is that it will introduce a lot of strangers into a very quiet area of the lake. It's not especially close to me, but there are a lot of part timers, i.e. empty houses, outside of the season.
If your guess is true, just another way they will end up ruining the Lake. If it was Alex City/Tallapoosa tax base, it would make even more sense.
