You would be wrong.  Recall the last time they dropped the rate by that much?  I do......it was right before the 2008 real estate crash.  Methinks the Fed once again overshot on the rate raising and was late in easing.  Me also thinks the Fed has looked at the economic data and is getting very worried about a recession and for good reason.
