When I heard that Susan Rice was leaving I immediately assumed that Obama told her to get out before it's too late. Can't say that I blame them for coming to that conclusion as well as Obama's desire to protect her.

As for Biden, he is simply doing what Dr. Jill, PhD tells him to do and says what his handlers tell him to say.  He probably thinks he's running for the Senate.  The sad part is that almost any GOP nominee except Trump should be able to beat him in 2024.....assuming he actually survives till then.  I cannot imagine he has the physical and mental capacity to run a conventional campaign. 

He has already nixed debates with Williamson and Kennedy (and possibly Gavin Newsom), which given his dementia makes a lot of sense.  He can only take so many massive doses of Adderol and needs to save them for the one or two Presidential debates that he will agree to.  He has also rigged the primaries by moving up states he will do well in ahead of those that he would not.  Given the polling that also makes sense as 70% plus don't want him to run...including almost half of Democrats.
