I have a 1995 75hp mariner that starts right up (usually) first turn of the key. I'll get going and then it shuts right down as if you pulled the ignition lanyard (safety switch). It will then take about 5-10 minutes before it'll restart.

Have replaced the stator and ignition switch and added gas treatment to fuel.

Runs rough at idle, but once you give it gas it runs quite smoothly.

Any thoughts?
