Augirl......if you want to do it yourself, cover everything in the room and bring in the garden hose. Wet down the ceiling real good and let it set for about 15 minutes. Then take a straight-edge hoe and start scrapeing of the popcorn ceiling off. I did that with our entire lake house. That type of ceiling is sooooooo far out of style. Good luck. If you want to hire someone to do it, contact a dry wall contractor.
