Just re-read your post. Went to Google maps and found something interesting...it lists Chimney Rock ISLAND and Acapulco Rock ISLAND, with Chimney Rock Island showing to be much bigger than Acapulco Rock Island. Because of its relatively dimunitive size compared to Chimney Rock Island, Acapulco Rock (aka "Chimney Rock" for jumping purposes) Island is both downstream AND upstream of portions Chimney Rock Island. That being said, the smaller rock outcropping from Chimney Rock Island is downstream of the Acapulco Island outcropping used for jumping and misamed "Chimney Rock". Go figure!
