First, I did'nt know that I would see that many customers downgrading in size, and adding speed. Never really thought of it until I saw it happen. I was actually kind of surprised. It is not a ploy to get around the bill. But it works like this... less boat size cost less money. And those owning HI-dollar performance boats are used to spending lots of money. So, if you spend less on a smaller boat, that free's up more money to spend on the engine. Sorry you took it the wrong way. And concerning the speed limit... I would be in favor of a 50, or 60mph speed limit. That way, the folks that use there boats on the lake could indeed still own a fast larger boat and still use them on poker runs across the southeast. A holiday weekend, or crowded lake day is NOT the time for any boat to be operated at high speeds. But, you can bet, the 26 footers would be doing it, that is for sure. That is all I was getting at.
