Now do try to stay on task Goofy. This is a question about the numbers that are being presented that are the basis for many of the decisions that are being made. One would think you would want those numbers to be correct. I know that's asking a lot.
As for the current numbers in the U.S., while I take pretty much everything coming out of CDC and NIH with a huge grain of salt because they have been consistent....consistently wrong, I have always acknowledged that the rMNA gene therapy's primary benefit was the lessening of symptoms, reduced hospitalizations and lower deaths for those infected. In fact, if you go back you will see me stating that this is one very good reason to get the shot and a no brainer for those over age 65 or 70 and those with compromised immune systems or other co-morbdidites. Not so much for those of us at very little risk of being hospitalized or dying from the virus.
But I also am aware that this has never been done in the middle of a pandemic and many of the concerns/predictions by eminent virologists and vaccinologists about antibody dependent enhancement and development of more virulent strains have come to pass. I don't know about you but when someone predicts something based on their understanding of how viruses actually work come to pass I tend to give their opinions a bit more credence than the govt scientists that have been wrong over and over again. But I know how you leftists think.....as long as their intentions are good they don't have to be right. That is one of many reasons I am not a leftist. I actually understand the quality of scientists that work for the govt....and it isn't good.
