You added what I left out 'cause I was already halfway through a dissertation. The dude with the 'tude about "it's MY property and I'll do what I wanna" had me rolling my eyes. I do think APCO guy's rationalization about flooding was pretty lame. We have an out of water boathouse and the year my dad built it (over 25 years ago) he asked around about how high was the highest it had gotten and built it 2 feet beyond that. The next year it flooded, floated the boat into the roof and broke the door off. So using his flood logic I guess APCO can dictate what we do with almost the whole freakin’ front yard (I wish they’d come take care of their yard). Don’t get me wrong – I think what they are doing is necessary. I just hate BS answers. A better answer to that guy would have been “it is because the law says it is”. End of discussion.

If you have a chance to read the article in Lake Martin Magazine – do. It’s pretty long but those folks are organized and militant.
We need us some firewalkers on Logan Martin.
