"Voters ultimately rejected the ballot measure to eliminate the state's property taxes, with a reported 76.5 percent rejecting the proposal and 23.5 percent favoring. However, a measure to change the University of North Dakota's "Fighting Sioux" logo and nickname did pass."

Rather surprising how overwhelming the vote was rejecting the proposal to eliminate a tax. I imagine voters did not want to leave it up to the state for all funding for local services including schools. Citizens like home rule.
