Well, let's apply the same question to the others...let's see, we know what Obama's favorite reading material includes - a biography of Malcom X. That's reassuring. Biden, don't know. McCain, don't know. I'd imagine those two Senators would say they read Congressional Reviews, Wall Street Journal (maybe not these days so much), etc.
I would bet that another Republical VP candidate wouldn't have been asked the question, but let's say they did...Romney - Book of Morman? Gov. Pawlenty - what do ya think? Gov. Huckabee - something from the Southern Baptists perhaps?
The point is that you are all trying to pinhole Gov. Palin and diss her on stupid things. Doesn't matter whether you like her or not - what she read before she was nominated as the VP candidate isn't really relevant. What she reads NOW is, for sure. But, that wasn't what she was asked. To her credit, it sounded to me like she was trying to understand why someone would ask her such a question. I know I have a tough time trying to figure it out.
Everyone is going to vote their conscience. That's fine. Just leave the rediculous and petty out of it. She's a nice lady, she's smart and successful. Hit her on the issues. If she can't hold her own there, that's it.
My real issue with the Palin 'concerns' is that she is running for VP. Obama is running for President, and yet you will support him and vote for him although he has very limited experience in everything. He chose Biden to help him with foreign policy because he doesn't know it. He has a team of economic folks telling him what to do on that front because that isn't his strong suite (his words). Yet you want him to be our President? You are willing to elect a man because he's a good orator? Because he isn't a Republican? Because he tells you whatever you want to hear on any given day? What is your reasoning? Is it enough that Russia and other foreign nations want him in office? Is he going to orate the US into a new world leadership position? I just don't understand. Change for the sake of Change isn't logical to me.
