It was once about equal opportunity and desegregation, both of which were moral and necessary.  Then it morphed into the utopian vision for equality, something that is impossible because there is no equality in talents, education, upbringing, etc.  Now it has taken the dangerous path of self segregation and punishment of those not in the favored classes.  In 100 years history books will miss all this in the telling of the decline of the United States as leftist historians will blame white people for the decline.....that is the politically correct narrative.  Of course those history books will be written in Mandarin and will have to be approved by the government. My pessimistic side is showing here.
