Thanks for your congratulations on Alabama's win. As you can see I am an avid Alabama fan which started when I played high school football from 1955-1957. I usually watch Alabama football at my son's house where he has a large over sized big screen TV. However, because of my age, the cold weather, and the late night I watched the game at home. The game was one of two halves. My son and I sent texts back and forth and were completely frustrated by halftime. We both commented to each other that we needed to change QB's but were doubtful Saban would pull his QB who had only lost two games in two years. During the season fans had started to call for a QB change because of his inconsistency in passing and his predictability when he ran the ball. I guess we were somewhat surprised to open the second half with a new QB. It had to be a difficult decision to make betwen Saban and his new first year offensive coordinator, especially when the reserve QB had only played in mop up games that were well decided when he came in. What bigger "stage" could a true freshman be called upon than to enter in a National Championship? My son's last text pretty much summed it up. He said, "Absolutely the craziest, most drama, most exciting and interesting Alabama game or probably any college game I have ever watched"! It will be interesting to see how Saban handles his new QB dilemma.
