Most of where I fish is north of Sandy to Wind Creek. I am figuring out the trends of where to look and what to use. I usually catch and release. I mostly use artificial baits and lures although I hear live minnows work well at times. Two weekends ago I had luck using spoons over schools of spots found with the sonar at mouths of creeks in 30-40 feet of water. I have used grub baits with success trolling along the docks and creeks as well. Summertime night fishing the dock lights is a lot of fun and can be very productive of a wide variety of fish. Artificial minnows have worked best for me at that time. I read the monthly AON magazine reports from Chad Miller and David Hare which sometimes pans out success. I am not a tourney angler as I am learning but then again when does one stop learning! I have really enjoyed having a place out here to visit on the weekends with some good folks. Fishing is great relaxation for me from the hustle and bustle of the city work week. Will probably retire out here when I throw in the towel!
