Goofy, every single recent poll indicates that the American people want neither Trump nor Biden. But since Biden is the topic, less than half of Democrats want him to run and overall the number is around a quarter of Americans want him to run again in 2024. Not saying they won't vote for him if he is the nominee, most would. As would most Republicans vote for Trump.
So it is pretty obvious they don't want either candidate to be the nominee. And yes, I think if we have a Trump-Biden matchup in 2024 I am fairly certain Biden would win again....which would be a disaster for the country and the world. That's what happens when you have a binary choice like we do in our political system. That is of course predicated on the assumption that it will be a binary choice. Throw in a Ralph Nader or a Ross Perot and all bets are off.
