The visit to Normandy a few years ago is still fresh in my memory card as I recall the very positive comments by our hosts as we toured the whole invasion area of D-Day 1944. As a veteran much too young to have been involved, but who had family members who were involved being a coxswain of an LST on that day, and an uncle who survived the Battle of the Bulge and an uncle who went down on the Indianapolis while sending out SOS calls for help......there is not a word in the English language to describe the wretched behavior of President biden in forgetting to mention the D-Day remembrance until late in the evening of June 6th.........which means it was received in Europe on June 7th.

How can we expect our European allies to continue to honor all who participated and those who paid the ultimate price on that day,if our president can’t be bothered to put out an appropriate proclamation in a timely manner?

Looks like willful negligence to go along with the inbred incompetence that we are being exposed to on a daily basis to me.

Yes, it was absolutely disgraceful. Undoubtably, they forgot to tell him and he'll blame the staff or Trump or the War in Ukraine.  Of course, he probably didn't mention it because his political base don't even know about it.  They are too busy worrying about Asian American history and black history and whatever other subgroups history.

Just think of the age so many of them made the commitment and lost their lives and ask yourself how many young men of that age would do the same.

Only us older folks will acknowledge D-day. Woke people don't care because it has nothing to do with stupid sh$$.     My sister in law is visiting and her father was on the beach at Normandy.    It's not taught in school.   My children and grandchildren know.    They have been educated.    Bedford Virginia is where the D Day memorial is located. Read the book "the Bedford boys ".      I was born and raised there.   I didn't know any of the 13 men who died in Normandy but my mother did.
