Any recommendations on roof contractors out there? A contractor that does quality work, and has experience working with insurance companies on claims.

Also, metal or shingles? Chime it gang, I appreciate the input.

Corley Construction. Guys did a great job and were easy to work with. Did every thing on my terms with no problems. We put on a metal roof so we don't have to worry about it for another 50 years. Beats shingles no doubt. At the time...which was in the late fall '09 the metal was cheaper than shingles. Danny Corley is his nam...address is Dadeville. His number is (256) 853-6003. I would also recommend using nothing higher than 26 gauge....possibly 24 gauge. The standard 29 gauge is a little thin and might bust if a limb or something falls. Also, painted metal is more expensive than the plain shiny silver. Hope it works out.

I had a terrible experience with Corley Construc. Lost thousands of dollars and have complained to County, State and will soon contact BBB. Be afraid---be VERY afraid.

Jones Brothers Roofing out of Montgomery replaced our roof after last years hail storm. It took them a while due to the volume of work they had after the storm but did an excellent job.
