Absurdity of the lawsuit against Arizona

Something occurred to me today as I read more details about the lawsuit filed by the Dept of Injustice against the state of Arizona's new law regarding illegals. Apparently the state carefully crafted the law to mirror the Federal law. By having mirror legislation it gives the state the right to enforce it. DOiJ has sued saying it crosses constitutional lines. The reason this is incredibly absurd is that it is common for states to either copy federal law word for word or even incorporate federal law. For example, almost the entire environmental law in the state of Georgia merely references federal law. Here is a great example directly from the Georgia EPD website:
391-3-11-.07 Identification and Listing of Hazardous Waste. (1) 40 C.F.R. Part 261 except for 70 Fed. Reg. 53448 (Sept. 8, 2005) and 71 Fed. Reg. 16902 (April 4, 2006) (2007), as amended by 70 Fed. Reg. 44150 (Aug. 1, 2005), 70 Fed. Reg. 57784 (Oct. 4, 2005), 70 Fed. Reg. 60217 (Oct. 17, 2005), 71 Fed. Reg. 402586 (July 14, 2006) and 71 Fed. Reg. 42947 (July 28, 2006) is hereby incorporated by reference. (2) 40 C.F.R. Part 260, Subpart C except for 71 Fed. Reg. 16902 (April 4, 2006) (2007), as amended by 71 Fed. Reg. 40258 (July 14, 2006) and 73 Fed. Reg. 72 (Jan 2, 2008) is hereby incorporated by reference.
For those of you that don't know C.F.R. is Code of Federal Regulations. This lawsuit is doomed from the outset and is only being filed for political reasons. It is absurd and an abuse of the federal government's powers.

Arizona has set up a fund to fight the Fed. and thousands from around the country, representing all states, have started contributing. Today, I also sent them a contribution.
