Does anyone on the forum know how many inches of rain has fallen in the past 6 weeks in the Smith Lake area?

Up to 12" might be a good guess.

8.9 inches of rain and yet the level falls from 506.1 to 502.4 from July 1 to August 15. I'm sure this level change has nothing to do with the Gorgas Steam Plant cooling needs but is related to releases for navigation; evaporation rates; and public municipalities. Or, could there be leakage to an underground river flowing to the Gulf!.

Probably normal for this hot summer. Only a little below average right now but it was dropping fast before May until it stayed down about a foot lower than usual.

National Weather Service shows somewhere between 8 and 15 inches of rain on the lake over the past 2 months. More rain than normal but not much more.

I guess links to other web pages isn't possible here, but you could still copy and paste them. Sorry for making it complicated!
