I like this a lot, but surely the evil  errrr..... ingenious minds on the forum can figure a way to make the water heater propane fueled, as well as the electric motor.

I would think, depending on the shape of the burn chamber, you could retro a gas-log burner or maybe the heating element out of an old hot water heater...
