Anybody have any ideas or interest in helping me move my boat to water so she can be stored on trailer and winterized? I am stuck in the mud of my boathouse. I live near Parker's Creek. Thanks !

How many hosebibs do you have? She may have to shelter in place until Spring...

That almost happened to me last year. I came down to take the boat out and it was mostly sitting firmly on bottom with the back end still in the water. I only got it out by starting the engine, putting it in reverse and jumping up and down on the swim platform until it came out. I am convinced it I waited another day or two it would have spent the winter there. Sorry but I have no idea how you can get it out. You may need to winterize and wrap it tight for the winter. Lots of people leave their pontoon boats on the mud for the winter. Not ideal for a regular boat but not a disaster.

If you REALLY want it out, get in touch with Larry at Lake Martin Dock Co (he is an advertiser here) - he has a barge and an excavator. He may be able to lift it or take some water back to your boat.

You might be able to buy a new boat and save some money.

Can you imagine my fat butt jumping up and down on the swim platform of that monstrosity with the engine grinding in reverse praying mightily that it comes off the bottom?!?!? I'm just glad the neighbors were not there to see the spectacle! LOL This year we moved it out to the floating dock pretty early. Fool me once......

Is it a outboard or inboard/outboard if so your ok.  Dig a hole so you can let the lower unit down so water drains.Of course if a I/O you have to drain the block like normal.  Put a good cover on the boat then wait until water comes back up.  I've just always done my stuff right after labor day weekend.

We do ungroundings. I actually did one last Sunday, it was a tri toon and the owner did the same thing...waited to long and it was not only stuck in the mud but on top of a big stump. Give me a call for pricing and any more info you want. Thanks - TowBoatUS - 256-307-1313

You might contact www.webstermarineconstruction.com on Lake Jordan.
or you could relocate to Lake Jordan where the water level is constant.
