I recently was made aware of the "Paddle at the Rock" race happening in a few weekends at Silver Rock.  I would like to inquire about the course boundaries for this year's race.  Last year, residents of Crooked Creek, including myself, were not informed about this event until we were restricted to drive our boats and watercraft onto the main body of water at Crooked Creek that day.  The residents of Crooked Creek would like to recommend that the course be moved to the Silver Lake side of the lake and if not at least placed on one side of the lake as to not take up the entire main body of water.  As long-term residents of this area we expect to be able to enjoy the lake as much as the new silver rock residents.  Consideration would be appreciated.

Does anyone know who sets up this course or how we can receive additional information?

I had the same complaint last year. Having the race go "across" the lake rather than down the side to allow passage through the area was a poor decision.
