I have been hoping to see an eagle for the 10 years that I have been at Lake Martin. Finally saw one on Saturday morning at south end of Goat Island. One of the most beautiful and memorable sights I have seen at the lake or anywhere.

Amen to that.   Seeing those birds making their home on this lake again has been awesome!

Saw 2 or 3 Bald Eagles on a recent jetski ride up the river to Jaybird Landing.....then the highlight was seeing one snag a fish out of the lake and take it to a tree for a nice sushi lunch.  Unbelievable!
