I have a fairly new radio in the pontoon. Signal comes and goes. It went late last summer. Tried new antenna, no luck. Anywhere on Lake or Dadeville area work on boat radios? Thanks for your help!

You probably need to read the thread just before this one.

ODB3, you didn't mention in your post what station or stations you were trying to receive.
I will note that with a run of the mill AM/FM boat radio and a Shakespeare Classic AM/FM marine fiberglass antenna, I don't have any difficulty hearing FM stations in Auburn or Montgomery. I have not tried AM since there is little to listen to there.
What you for sure don't want to use is one of those twin-lead antennas stuck below the helm on your pontoon. That is about as effective as a wet noodle. Nor one of those 12" long rubber antennas. Both are pretty much useless unless you are in a strong signal area, which is not the case for Lake Martin.
Remember that the longer and higher the antenna is, the better it works. That's always a tradeoff with cost and aesthetics.
