Copied from the SUN comments:
THIS is something the Russians would do and it was done by a US president against an opposition party during a US election. The only difference between this and Watergate is that Obama used US Intelligence agency assets against his opposition; Nixon only used his own people. This is worse than Watergate - it's treason!
Fishing for some intelligent discourse. Betcha I'll be in the boat awhile..........................

I would like to see the order that was denied in July, and the one that was lesser in scope that was granted in October. And then they left the wiretaps in place during the transition period. And Obama opened up the scope for spreading intelligence information. And then it was leaked.
I hope someone PAYS. Where is Eric Snowden when we need him?

My understanding of FISA rejections is about 1% for wiretaps.
Now the scapegoat is who approved it and who leaked it.
And as far as the expansion of agencies with access to the wiretaps to 12 - now the info is basically public.
Wonder if that expansion is fixable with an exec order?

To tell the truth, I'm not even sure there is anything to this, and I'm not sure where Trump is going with this - except to take the heat off the Russian connection thing. Understand he was plenty ticked off at Sessions for agreeing to recuse himself. I'm not especially happy right now with his running to Florida every weekend - I am a taxpayer and I think my tax dollars are better spent. I'm glad he is getting some things going, it seems like one step forward, one step back.

Who has authority to see these judge requests for surveilance? Either there was an order requested in June or not? Either there was an order requested in October or not? If requested they were granted or not. If they exist they will have some names and issues listed. Surely, as President, Trump has the authority to see these. Surely he has authority to study them and learn details.
I heard Schumer say that it is bad for Trump either way (1) If not true then he has tweeted great false (2) If true then and "INDEPENDENTLY ELECTED" judge has found probable cause against him. First, I am sure judge not elected. Second, you know the judges have their bias and leaning, and the requesters simply go to the one that leans their way.
I am wondering if Bannon has full details of what happened.
But you may be right that there is simply nothing to it, but I do think some surveilance took place, whether illicit or not.

Here is what Chuck had to say about the wiretapping issue.
"On the other hand, if it's true, it's even worse for the president," Schumer said. "Because that means that a federal judge, independently elected, has found probable cause that the president, or people on his staff, have probable cause to have broken the law or to have interacted with a foreign agent."
He needs to do a little research on how the fisc judges are APPOINTED. There are seven, with districst, three in DC, appointed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. And it is difficult for anyone to be independent, all are partisan in one way or another. And my guess is the requesters know who to ask.
Here are current judges. Of the three for DC two just went on the court in the last couple of years, and were previously appointed as Federal Judges by our friend Obama.
