Can anyone direct me to a web site that provides daily water temperatures at the lake? Thanks!

Yes, it's called www.stick yourfoot in the water.com Sorry, I couldn't resist... I guess I've been reading these other posts too long! :)
Have a great lake day!

Is one dumb question permitted. Obviously, not much of a fisherman but suspect water temperature is important to fishing???

Any info would be helpful given my luck catching fish.

Thanks Luvdalake.....I enjoy your humor. I would love to be able to put my foot in the water, but I am in California and the lake is in Alabama.

That would be a bit of a stretch wouldn't it :) I'm sorry I shouldn't have been sarcastic... like I said I guess some of these other posters are starting to wear off on me LOL!!

Anyway, I can't tell you the temp. but will tell you that it was in the 30s at one point this week and last weekend prior to the drop in temp. my child jumped in for about 2secs. (You know it's cold when a kid wont swim!!!) I.E. the water hasn't started its warming trend yet. However, the weekend and all of next week is supposed to be in the 80s so maybe it will soon.

Have a great day!!

or is it idear? ok.....so, I'm thinking one time last summer I was reading the Montgomery Advertiser, this is the paper out of Montgomery, biggest local that would/might cover the lake. I think I recall the water temp in that issue. Now, I've spoken with the online manager for the paper, he said he would look into adding this to his site, but didn't know where he would get the info. I told him the above, and he said he would check it out.

BUTTTTTT

if your serious about moving to the area from kal-i-4-nigh-aye then you might enjoy reading local stuff. Seeing what tractors are for sale and the like. I'm in Birmingham, and our paper does not have this info.

Best of luck to ya.

Thanks Tivo,

I have been reading everything "Alabama" and "Lake Martin" that I can find. I read the Alexander Daily Outlook, The Electic Observer, and the Dadeville paper as well. I recently started reading the Lake Martin Journal. (Excellent publication, only not published often enough for me). I have not read the Montgomery paper though. Thanks for the lead, and thanks for the suggestion on running the water temp. Any other suggested reading?

I hope to be your full time neighbor sometime near the end of this year.
