Anyone know of any good catering places on the lake for BBQ for a party? I would be willing to pick up just might be nice to let someone else do the cooking. Thanks

My parents had "Oskars" cater a party two weeks ago and they did an awesome job. They brought everything except the kitchen sink! Great burgers, chicken fingers, fries, etc!!!! They had everything prepared at the exact time that that was on the invitations. I would highly recommend using them again. Good luck and what time do I need to be there?!

I think the best BBQ around is the Big B in AC. Now I haven't tried the one in Wetumpka though....Oskar's probably serves theirs with cheese :-)

could you please explain your use of the word "cheese" is it short for "cheesecake" and you prefer "beefcake" or is it used in the context the kind of "cheese" that you wake up with when you have been so drunk for three days, that you have not brushed you teeth?

or is it the lymric version of "cheese" as in

ther once was a girl from Shallot,
who lived on frog crap and snot.
when she tired of these
she would eat the green "cheese"
.............................................

what is your problem with oscar's?
the babes there didn't fall for your atlanta line of crap?

sincerly

I love Oskar's....and all the people there!!

But if you want some really good BBQ....Get SHO-NUFF BBQ out of Alex City to cater!!

They are fantastic in the BBQ dept!!

They can handle big functions down to smaller ones as well!!

Good luck.

I actually agree with Strat on this one. Sho Nuff BBQ is great. Get a Sho Nuff potato. It's a super loaded potato--BBQ style.

Big B's isn't my favorite. Have you tried Old South in Eclectic? It's fabulous. My family also loves Cotton's, but you have to like their celery seed flavored sauce.

Nope but will. Thanks for the tip! Last Big B experience was pretty mediocre too....

Hey!
Thanks for all of the "yummy" tips. I ended up going with Oskars for this one (turned out good), and they delivered which was a huge plus! However, I'm filing all of these other great suggestions away for my "personal" use!

Have a great day!
