We are new to the lake and I'm hearing that the ride to the fireworks on the lake is very crowded and like an ocean to drive in. Anyone have any advice on how to see the fireworks from the lake without getting run over? Go early or late. Bring an anchor whatever advice would help. I'll have a boat full of little kids. thanks

The best place I can recommend is the boat ramp at Pleasure Point, your on dry land and can watch all the fools get lost trying to find the way home after it`s over. It is like watching a Keystone Cops movie.

...off Hwy. 50 in Union.
It overlooks the south end of Kowaliga Bay.
It's really a pretty sight...day or night.

I love the fireworks on the lake! There is nothing better than viewing from your boat. There ARE a lot of boats, but if you take your time and have fun, you will love it too.

We try to arrive at sunset and take our time getting home. Take an anchor, your stereo, and relax. If you don't know the lake at night, take a GPS (or getting home may be a challenge).

If you are easy going, you will love it. If you tend to be uptight you may not. Have a great 4th!
