What is the legal status of styro foam on floating docks. It is already illegal in georgia. All these docks are required to be changed. Is that the case in alabama too?

I was led to believe last winter (both here and via a call to APC) that you had to go to the black plastic encased floats. $$$$

Later found out that the blue-foam pieces were still an option. Spencers Lumber in Dadeville carries them, as do places in Alex City, etc. If they've still got them they can probably verify they're ok.
