Hit the button too soon.
Some time back there was a posting about using a peroxide solution for cleaning boat upholstery. Does anyone have that info?
Also for cleaning the pontoons any recommendations?

I think I can help on both questions.

1. 1/3 Distilled Water, 1/3 Ammonia, 1/3 Peroxide - Works great. Used it on my Poontoon seats. Removed mildew better than bleach.

2. "Toon Brite" from Overtons

We us the peroxide mixture a lot. DO NOT use bleach on the upholstery if you can avoid it. It will help with the mildew, but will quickly weaken the stitching. Too much bleach and you can watch the seams in your seats come apart overnight!

Great tip. Thanks. I knew that being a good chemist but have put bleach on stuff and you are right.
