I waited in traffic for 45 to 50 minutes tryin to get to the game, what ticked me off is how rude people are cuttin in line and all. And rudeness I got was worse, I lived in Washington state for the past 4 years so I have Washington plates. People were giving me fingers and mean stares, even the cops treated me kinda rude when I parked. And during the game I don't know how many times I saw the police keep telling everyone to not stand at the rails. They need to find a seat. I know it was bad before I moved but its gotten 50 times worse. All the kids do there is walk around with friends and chatin and all. I sat in front of some high school students and all I heard was, "Oh, this band sucks" and all their friends walkin back and forth. Somehow, I knew there was a reason I left this town, this county, this state.

Benjamin Russell HIgh School

Well, that's high school for you. Mocking is what they do best. Remember, they are trapped inside that highschool mentality. I wouldn't criticize the whole town or state for what some pimple popping, hormone raging, brain dead 17 year olds did. We were like that, too. (now don't say you weren't. We really can't remember how we were - much less looked to others.)

The brain is NOT fully formed until 24. It used to be 21, but researchers have now decided it's 24. That's why the legal drinking age was raised from 18 to 21 years ago. I am a certified teacher of the Gifted and have worked on my master's in the brain study area for my classes. The word BRAIN DEAD came from the middle school years 11 - 14+ when the body is now trying to catch up to the brain in the child and the brain shuts down to only 20% working capacity for the body's hormonal growth to catch up. We've all gone through it.

I went to the PHS and Wetumpka game last night. It was the same way.. OVER CROWDED. High Schoolers walking around (like there was any room to walk) and the younger ones were RUNNING around playing tag. I am guessing the ones playing tag were either dropped off in place of a day care service, or their parentswere so involved in the game they didn't care or notice. I know when I went through my high school years, I too was guilty of walking around some, but blocking adults veiw was something I tried to avoid. I think now, some of the kids dare you to say something to them. There are (also) always a couple of parents that also are guilty of blocking veiws by taking pictures of their football player, cheerleader or band member. I mean, how many pictures do they need in a season? I could excuse some picture taking, but EVERY game?
The stadium (if that is what you call it) was over packed. PHS always has a HUGE following, and some of these 4A teams just don't have the room to hold us (in seating or parking). If we played other 6A teams as we should, this probably wouldn't be such problem. But undoubtedly, having a winning season to get to playoffs is much more important.
I will still be at the games,...regaurdless. This is just a petpeeve. :-)
