I have been on the lake since the mid-60s. I do not agree with you--about big boats-- I believe the problem is SOME BOAT CAPTAINS are very stupid / disrespectful / unexperience. Big boats, little boats, sea-doos, bass boats, sail boats, pontoon boats and maybe your boat.- the CAPTAIN CAN ALWAYS make a difference.. Where do you live on the lake?
On the Big water? In a slough? Is your seawall / dock aqequate? Do you know how to proper dock and tie your boat sufficient?
I frequent Sinclairs/Anchor Bay/Chuck's/marinas often- Notice which type of boats has the most problem docking and tieing up. its not the big boats. its the runabouts just bought w/2" fenders - its the pontoon just bought w/no fenders / its boats with LACK OF EXPERIENE captains..
If you live in a slough--- pontoon boats can tic you off just as a big boat in the main channel. the difference on busy weekends the main channel has ALWAYS BEEN ROUGH---in the 70's-80's-90's-today-tomorrow---its rough out there. With or without big boats- live in a slough-- thats where you see alot of the DUMB- captains--- waving as they plow by.

I'm against taking rights/privileges away from all--- This is all about GREED-- just because I don't own a sailboat/ Cigar boat/ sea-doo / cruiser boat----My neighbor should have that right if he chooses..
