Well someone broke my light I had in the water that made everything look like an aquarium. I sent it off to have it repaired and the put it back in the water and then the fishermen showed up again. I kept looking for some money to help defray expenses but never saw any. Now I know the lake belongs to all of us but if they fish because my light helps bring the fish in shouldn't I at least get a little help? From now on light on $10, no help light off.

I have thought about getting on of those lights to put on my dock/sea wall. What type do you have? Just need some specific info for underwater lights.
Thanks,
Edge

Just a question.......how did a fisherman damage your underwater light?? Just wondering. I have fished around them before and i dont want to repeat whatever they did to damage it. Also, where is your place on the lake because i love fishing those underwater lights.

After providing your major credit card number and expiration date, Lakeman will bill you a modest twelve dollars a month and provide directions to the light. Show him the Money, and He will show you the Light.

All said in jest.

I wont give anyone money to fish their light. I know of WAY too many good spots to pay someone.

I ordered mine from " Underwater Advantage " out of Texas City Texas. It is nice to look at and watch the fishes. If you let the water get too low before taking it out you will stand a chance of someone breaking it by accident with their prop.

You own a place on the Lake to install your own light? Do you catch and release?

Yeah, I catch and release bass right back into the water (Unless i am fishing a tourney). I also catch and release Crappie......i release them right into my livewell. And yes I do have a place on the lake over towards Chucks Marina. If you go past our driveway you will be at Curry's Point.

You are my kind of man. I also believe in catch and release. I certainly do not object to someone catching a few now and then for the table especially crappie.

I guess we can both appreciate Lakeman's view of people fishing over his light. I will probably want to put one of my own in once I get estabished on the Lake.

I do not swim or have children to swim around my dock, but I can appreciate those that do and are concerned about fishermen and fouled hooks/lures around personal docks.

The fish themselves belong to everyone that has a State fishing license.. I think someone posted back in the past there maybe an overabundance of spotted bass that need to be cropped. I don't know.

From what i understand and have heard is that the bass population on Lake Martin is in trouble. I think it was something about the number of fish that actually were sapwning or lack there of. I cant remember where i heard that, but if anyone has more info or has heard diffrent..please share. I also love me some crappie!!
