As you can see by clicking on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission link below, they have Alabama Power Company reporting the lake level and thier actions regarding it on a short leash. It seems that whenever APC deviates from the FERC guidlelines (higher or lower), they must have to report this to FERC. Their statements in the letter do not bode well for the next couple of months - unless a nasty ole hurricane rears it's head in the Gulf.

I have been telling this forum for years that the lake level is controlled by the FERC and have been called every thing but something good to eat. Most seem to think APCO does whatever THEY want. They have a chart at the the dam that shows day to day what the level is supposed to be and as the letter shows, variances must be reported if they exceed a certain percentage. Maybe they will believe you because it is obvious that I am a nut job who leaves the wheels on my trailer and hates everybody that lives on the lake.

Don. Within the past hour I found myself visiting the site and reading your post. My name is Gene Wolters, aka Geno and if you recall I reside in Cincinnati and somehow believe you have a past in Fort Thomas, Ky., in any case the reason I write deals with a new eatery at the lake and relatives that own the eatery, Laura Watts, I believe, and the eatery is located in the Red Hill area Eclectic.. When you get the chance check it out. in memory E.F. Wolters Sr., 1931-2007 Geno
