Sunday, a Large tree/log floated into our new dock. It is apporx 35' feet long, 30" dia on one end and 8" dia on the other, 90% of the log is under the surfce of the water you only see the small end. As a fellow boater we felt the need to tie it off to our dock too danagerous to let float away. My question is What do with it now. It is too heavy to pull up a ramp. The marine police said call the guy that harvest the trees from the bottom of the lake. I could tow way and anchor it myself but it needs to be out of the water. It has been under water for some time. Please advise....

If it was at my pier I would drag it to the back of the slough and tie it to a standing tree. (Back of my slough is a swamp.)

Do you live on the East side of the lake? If so, I'd be happy to bring my tractor over and haul it out... lmk.

Adios - This world needs a lot more people like you. That was a very generous offer.

Thanks but I live on the Northwest side off of HWY 9. It looks like i will tow it away and anchor it on a bank somewhere. Just hope i dont meet it again somewhere at night, We where out Saturday night, before the Easter bunny left it, really glad we did not hit it pulling into our boat slip....
