The lake this weekend was absolutely beautiful! Good to get back out on the water and not worry about sand bars and stumps. Water is crystal clear! There is an article on Montgomery Advertiser.com about lake business picking up. It has to be....atleast 50 boats at the rock yesterday. April 20, a Sunday and the rock is loaded. People were even jumping. It was like it was the middle of July....only the water is FREEZING! Don't know how long we'll have it but the current state of water level is a very welcome sight!

It was a beautiful weekend. I told my wife the other day that even though we have lived full-time on the lake for 6-years, it seems strange to hear the sound of boats, see the water level up, and see people having fun.

It's going to be a great summer on Lake Martin.

We had to stop three times in two hours, and clear small limbs off the foot. Didn't do any damage, but never saw them coming, and set the prop to cavitating.

It was about 1:30 - 4:00. Boats and PWC everywhere. Even got to see a backflip off the top rock. A string of about 10 or 12 were tied together in the cove/slu beside the rock.
