Sunday at the rock, saw 5 water patrol boats. Didn't know we had that many on Lake Martin. Seems they were carting away underage drinkers.

Our adult neighbors got a big ticket Saturday. If you even look like your'e drinking in the boat they will do some serious investigating. Changes are happening. Not sure if its all good though!

Anytime someone who is drinking and driving a boat or car is ticketed, we are all better off. Only a fool mixes the two!!!!!!!

They got a big ticket? How much and for what? There are Alabama marine law books available everywhere, and online... Surely they knew what they were doing wrong before they did it?

Yes Sir ! They had a lookout boat on north and south end ,two boats doing the checking and one served as the Paddy wagon. Its not like they did not warn us.

Got pulled over by Officer Smith right outside Synclares. He stated they were pulling over every boat that passed Sunday. He did the usual, license, registration, fire extinguisher, throw, and life jacket per person. My four month old was wearing his PFD as well. He did say they were focusing on underage drinking, heared they arrested 33 in total. I like the fact that they are keeping it safe.
Now I'm officially (and legally) ready for the summer.

We saw all the water patrol at the rock Sunday also. As we were passing thru there were three young girls being carted off. They didn't look too happy! Something that concerns me still is adults who pull small kids around on towables right in the middle of the busiest boat traffic. We've seen a lot of that the past few weekends and Sunday one boat cut across right in front of us pulling two small children. I suppose they're not breaking the law because the water patrol was in plain view but didn't stop them. In my opinion it is a total lack of common sense though.

That is true but I guess I should have been more precise. The boat started pulling the kids at our approach. As far as I could tell, no one looked for oncoming boats. Fortunately, we were not going fast and able to stop. My problem with it is why are so many adults at the lake taking such risk with children.
